skate - shot on red - 120 fps from opus magnum prod. on Vimeo.
Check out this sweet video. Now I am not a skater, but I do love good photography. Including video. This video is shot with a new HD digital video camera called Red. I want one. Click on the HD button to see it bigger.
Dakota Rain
Many of you may know or have met my German Shepard Dakota. This past Tuesday Dakota passed away. She had been sick for a few months and even spent some time in intensive care at Kansas State. They never could figure out exactly what was wrong with her. Then on Tuesday she became much worse. I rushed Dakota to her Vet and she had to have emergency surgery. Dakota had cancer.
This has hit our family very hard. Dakota was a very important member of our family. My wife and I always said Dakota was our first born.
I do want to thank Dr. Cook and the rest of the members at The Family Pet Hospital. They did all they could and they treated Dakota like a member of our family.
Dakota was nine years old.
Thanks Ariel and Brett
Your pictures were absolutely beautiful. I have heard so many compliments on how you captured the day. We felt that you were able to do a great job without being intrusive. We have some friends getting married next summer and they are looking at you as a photographer because they were so impressed with your work!! Thanks Again!

Tara and Brian were wed on July 26th in Lawrence, Kansas. It was a great wedding, even with the heat. There was even an Elvis sighting. Check out the slideshow.
First Friday
I want to thank all of my family and friends that were able to come out to my art opening on Aug. 1st for Topeka's First Friday Art Walk. It was a lot of fun and my mom made some great food for the event. If you didn't make it to the opening night you can still go to Warehouse 414 and view my work. It will be up the whole month of Aug.
And if you have never heard of Warehouse 414, you need to check it out.
